On Tuesday, pajama day, JOY FM came to speak to our school and challenged us to do random acts of kindness throughout the week. We got to meet JOY FM DJ Kim Underwood, too!
All throughout the week our class sold and made friendshipgrams to raise money to help Lutheran Hour Ministries share the love of Jesus with people all over the world. This week we learned more about the country of Mongolia and how Lutheran Hour sends missionaries there to tell them about Jesus and His love. The money we raised this week will help LHM continue their important work. We worked hard each day on selling and making the friendshipgrams.
Wednesday was 60's and 70's day and everyone looked great in their tie dye and and groovy outfits. We also enjoyed a visit from Noah the comfort dog. We heard all about how he goes to hospitals, nursing homes, funerals and more to comfort those in need. Just another example of people (and animals) in our community sharing God's love with others!
Thursday was blue and white day so we could show our school pride. Go Wildcats! It was also the 100th day of school! We also worked super hard on our friendshipgrams and finished making and sorting them for delivery on Friday. Thank you to Mrs. Necker for coming in to help all those treats. We had to fill over 600 bags! To celebrate the 100th day, we made some fun 100 glasses, worked together to come up with 100 number sentences that equal 100, and made pictures with the digits 1, 0, and 0 in them.
On Friday we got to wear hats and hoodies. We watched a movie and had some popcorn as a treat. It was a well deserved treat after selling, making, and delivering over 600 friendshipgrams. Our hard work paid off because we were able to make over $300 to send to Lutheran Hour Ministries to help with their world wide missions! WOW!!!!! We are so proud to be able to share the love of Jesus, not only this week, but everyday! 💗
